Why this journey
Sharm sits at the tip of the Sinai peninsula, where the Gulf of Aqaba meets the open Red Sea, and the water clarity there is the reason divers keep coming back. Ras Mohammed and the Straits of Tiran are both within reach of a day boat.
The trip opens in Cairo with the part everyone comes for — the Giza plateau and the Sphinx with a private Egyptologist — and then hands the rest of the week to the coast.
The Sharm hotel is all-inclusive and nothing is scheduled there. Dive centres, boat trips and desert excursions are all arranged locally if you want them, and ignored entirely if you do not.

All transfers throughout the trip are private, in air-conditioned deluxe vehicles.
All sightseeing is on a private basis and includes the entrance fees named in the itinerary.

Common questions
How is Sharm different from Hurghada?
Sharm is on the Sinai side and generally has clearer water and better-known dive sites — Ras Mohammed and the Straits of Tiran. Hurghada is on the mainland coast and tends to be the cheaper of the two.
Is the resort all-inclusive?
Yes, for the three nights at Sharm. Excursions and anything bought outside the hotel are separate.
Are the domestic flights included?
No. Cairo–Sharm and back are excluded from the rate and can be quoted with the package.
Do I need to dive to enjoy it?
No. The snorkelling here is unusually good because the reef comes close inshore, and plenty of guests never put on a tank.
Is there anything to see besides the beach?
Locally, desert quad trips and a Bedouin dinner are the usual options, booked at the hotel. St Catherine’s and Mount Sinai are a long day from Sharm — our Coptic Egypt and Mount Sinai package builds that in properly.
