A one-day open-top double-decker pass for Barcelona — ride the circuit for the shape of the city, then get off wherever you want and rejoin a later bus.
Ride a double decker bus to the best sightseeing spots in Barcelona
An open-top double-decker running between Barcelona’s main sightseeing areas.
Get off wherever you like and rejoin a later bus on the same ticket.
Clear views from the upper deck of streets you would otherwise cross underground.
A day pass, so the route can be broken up around lunch or a long stop.
Useful for covering distance between the Gothic quarter, the Eixample and the waterfront.
Barcelona rewards walking, but not all of it is within walking distance. The hill sites, the waterfront and the Eixample are far enough apart that a day on foot turns into a day on the metro, which shows you nothing. An open-top bus with a day pass covers the same ground above ground.
How it worksYour ticket is a one-day pass rather than a single journey. Board at any stop on the route, ride as far as you want, get off to see something, and pick up a later bus when you are finished. There is no need to plan the order in advance — the buses come round, and the pass does not care how many times you use it.
Riding a full circuit without getting off is a reasonable way to start: it gives you the shape of the city and tells you which stops you actually want to come back to.
The top deckThe open upper deck is the point. Barcelona is a city of facades — the Eixample’s galleries and ironwork, the modernista rooflines, the long straight avenues that only make sense from above street level — and almost none of that is visible from inside a metro carriage or from directly beneath it. From the top deck it is all at eye level.
Worth knowingThe pass buys you the bus and nothing else: admission to anything you get off to visit is separate, and Barcelona’s busiest sites are worth booking ahead independently of this ticket. The upper deck is open, so sun and rain both reach you — a hat and water in summer, something light for a shower otherwise. Route, stop list and frequency are set by the operator and we confirm them with you, as are the first and last departures of the day.
Open it to pick a date and work out the price.
What the fare covers, and what to budget for separately.
The practical detail, and the answers people actually ask for.
Nothing recorded — ask the desk anything before you book.
