A full day's admission to Ramayana Water Park outside Pattaya, redeemed with your e-ticket at the main gate. One admission covers the whole site for the day, adults and children alike.
A large site — this is one of the biggest water parks in Asia — laid out around a lake at the foot of a hill, which means real distances between attractions and a lot of walking between swims. Arrive early and the first hour or two is close to empty; by midday the queues for the headline slides are the longest thing about them.
The Ramayana is not borrowed decoration here. Thailand's national version is the Ramakien, adapted over centuries and formalised under King Rama I in the 1790s; its scenes cover the walls of the royal temple in Bangkok. The old capital, Ayutthaya, took its name from Rama's city of Ayodhya, and every king of the current dynasty is titled Rama. The park's giants and monkey warriors come from a story Thai audiences have grown up with rather than one imported for the occasion.
Look inland from the higher platforms and the ridge you can see is Khao Chi Chan, a limestone hill with a 130-metre image of the Buddha cut into its face and inlaid with gold — laid out by laser and completed in the 1990s. The quarrying that scarred the cliff came first; the image was made to answer it.
The water on a slide is not there for the splash. It works as a bearing, a film thin enough to lift the rider clear of the surface so almost nothing touches. Flow rate matters more than steepness, which is why the pumps run constantly and the whole park is one closed loop of water climbing back uphill. It also explains the height and weight limits posted at each attraction: those numbers come from how a body of a given mass behaves at speed on a given radius, not from caution for its own sake.
Do the big rides in the first two hours, take the lazy river in the heat of the afternoon, and keep the wave pool for when your legs are done. Concrete and walkways get genuinely hot underfoot by midday, and the light reflecting off water burns faster than the same sun on land — a rash guard does more than sunscreen you keep washing off.
Entry is a single admission on the date you book, so leaving and returning is not usually possible. Everything inside — eating, storage, shade — is arranged on site rather than through this ticket, and getting to the park and back is your own arrangement.

Among the largest in Asia, built around a lake at the foot of a hill. Expect real distances between attractions and a fair amount of walking.

Khao Chi Chan, a limestone hill with a 130-metre Buddha image cut into the cliff and inlaid with gold. It was laid out by laser and finished in the 1990s, after quarrying had already scarred the face.
The water is a bearing, not decoration — a film thin enough to lift the rider clear of the surface. Flow rate matters more than gradient, so pumps run constantly and the park recirculates its water in a closed loop.
Because how fast and how high a body travels through a bend depends on its mass. The posted numbers at each attraction come from that, and they are checked at the top of the stairs.
Early. The first hour or two is close to empty, and by midday the queues rather than the rides are what take the time.
Plan on one visit — the gate scans your ticket once, for the date you chose.
Yes, a dedicated shallow zone with smaller slides, separate from the main attractions.
