This 6 nights, 7 days tour begins with a warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport and continues to Pinnawala, where the island’s famous elephant orphanage adds a memorable first stop before the drive to Kandy. A visit to a spice garden and an evening Kandyan cultural dance performance set the tone for the journey, with the city’s hill setting adding a different pace to the arrival day.
The route then moves deeper into the central highlands, where Kandy’s craft shops and city streets lead into the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. From there, the road to Nuwara Eliya becomes one of the most scenic stretches of the holiday, with Ramboda Waterfall, tea plantation landscapes and a tea factory stop giving a clear sense of Sri Lanka’s hill-country character. In Nuwara Eliya, there is time to enjoy Gregory Lake, the old post office and the colonial-era streets often called Little England, with the cooler climate making this part of the trip feel distinctly different from the coast.
From the hill country, the journey drops back toward the southwest coast for Beruwala or Wadduwa, with St. Clair’s Falls and Devon Falls adding two more classic waterfall stops along the way. The beach stay is deliberately unhurried, giving space for simple leisure by the sea, optional spa time or water sports on direct payment. It is the kind of break that balances sightseeing with recovery time, which makes the overall route feel varied without becoming rushed.
The final stretch brings you into Colombo for a city and shopping day that includes Cinnamon Gardens, Fort, Pettah, Sea Street, Galle Face and well-known retail stops such as ODEL, Dutch Hospital and Barefoot. After one last night in the capital, the trip ends with breakfast, hotel checkout and transfer to the airport.
