Why this journey
The shortest way to do the Nile properly. Two nights in Cairo for the pyramids, then south to Aswan to board the boat, and the river does the moving from there.
A cruise earns its place on an itinerary this short for one reason: you unpack once and the temples come to you. Kom Ombo, Edfu and the Theban west bank are all on the bank, and the sailing between them is the part you cannot get any other way.
Aswan gives you the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk on the first afternoon. Kom Ombo is the temple split down its axis between Sobek and Haroeris, with two of everything. Edfu is the most completely preserved temple in the country. The last morning is the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon before you fly back.

Common questions
What standard is the Nile cruise?
A 4-star vessel on full board. Cabins are outward-facing with a picture window, and the boat carries a sun deck, a restaurant and a lounge. Cruise check-in is before lunch at noon and check-out after breakfast at 08:00.
Is Abu Simbel included?
No, but it is offered as an optional excursion by private coach on the sailing morning, arranged and paid locally. It is a long round trip south from Aswan and worth the early start if the site matters to you.
Are drinks included on board?
No. Full board covers meals only; drinks of any kind are charged on board, and international menus are served.
How many tombs do we enter in the Valley of the Kings?
Three are included in the standard ticket. Tutankhamun’s tomb is ticketed separately at the gate.
Are the domestic flights included?
No. The Cairo–Aswan and Luxor–Cairo legs are excluded from the rate and can be quoted alongside the package so they match the transfers.
