Why this journey

Discover the contrasts of Vietnam on a nine-day journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. This December group tour brings together historic streets, limestone landscapes, an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise and the waterways of the Mekong Delta, with no more than 14 guests on each departure.

From Hanoi and Ha Long Bay to central Vietnam

Begin in Hanoi with the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison Museum. Explore Hoa Lu, cycle through local villages, cruise the caves of Trang An and climb to the Mua Cave viewpoint on a day trip to Ninh Binh. Spend the next night aboard Verdure Lotus Classic or a similar Ha Long Bay cruise, with kayaking or rafting, Titop Island and Sung Sot Cave as described in the cruise programme.

Continue to Da Nang for three nights. Ride the Ba Na Hills cable car to the Golden Bridge, visit the French Village and Fantasy Park, then explore Cam Thanh by bamboo basket boat. Discover Hoi An Old Town, take a Hoai River boat ride and release a flower lantern before returning to Da Nang.

Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta

Finish with two nights in Ho Chi Minh City. Visit Cho Lon and Thien Hau Pagoda, see the skyline from a Saigon River water bus, then explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta around My Tho and Ben Tre, including local tastings, river excursions and Southern music.

Your eight nights comprise Hanoi (2), Ha Long Bay cruise (1), Da Nang (3) and Ho Chi Minh City (2). The 4-star hotel option uses Thien Thai Hotel, Yarra Ocean Suites and Ramana, or similar hotels; the overnight cruise is provided as specified in the programme. Eight breakfasts, eight lunches, eight dinners, scheduled transfers, listed entrance fees and English-speaking guides on the specified day tours are included.

Choose 21-29 December 2026 or 26 December 2026-3 January 2027. The twin/double-sharing adult rate is USD 971. International and domestic flights, visa fees, compulsory tips and any Christmas or New Year supplements are extra. Hotels, cruise cabins and services remain subject to availability and confirmation; the 26 December departure requires supplier rate revalidation. No. Hanoi-Da Nang on Day 4 and Da Nang-Ho Chi Minh City on Day 7 must be arranged separately. Listed airport transfers are included.

Is the Golden Bridge an optional extra?

The Ba Na Hills and Golden Bridge programme is already included on Day 5. The similar optional excursion listed in the source proposal is not required for this itinerary.

No supplier reservations are implied. Hotels, cruise cabins and services are subject to availability. The 26 December departure and any Christmas or New Year supplements require revalidation.

Can single travellers or children book?

The quoted rate is for adults sharing twin/double rooms. Single rooms, triple rooms, child and infant rates require a separate quotation.
