Why this journey

This is the Golden Route taken slowly and privately. Nine days is enough to give Tokyo three nights, sleep a night in the hills at Hakone, spend two nights in Kyoto with a day out to Nara, and finish in Osaka — without the pace of a coach tour.

A private seven-seat vehicle with a driver covers the sightseeing days and the run out to Mount Fuji and Hakone; the Tokyo–Kyoto leg is by Shinkansen, which is faster and more comfortable than the road. English-speaking assistance is arranged throughout.

The rate quoted here is for two adults travelling together. It suits couples, honeymoons and small families who want the route covered properly, at their own speed, with someone local handling the logistics.
