KL Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Pass

Kuala Lumpur is spread out, hot, and not built for walking between its sights. A bus pass that loops the city and lets you get on and off at will is the simplest way to see it on your own terms.

You buy the pass for either twenty-four or forty-eight hours and then use it as often as you like inside that window. Ride the circuit to get your bearings, get off at whatever holds you, and pick up the next bus along when you have finished.

That is the whole appeal: no fixed departure to make, no group to keep up with, and no need to decide the order of your day before it starts.

Sit on the open upper deck. Kuala Lumpur is a city of towers and of low shophouse streets in the same frame, and from up there the two read together in a way they never do from the pavement. It is also where the photographs are.

The upper deck is open to the sky, and Kuala Lumpur delivers both hard sun and sudden downpours — a hat, water and something light for rain. Admission to anything you get off to visit is not included. Buses run to a timetable that thins out later in the day, so plan the last hop with a little margin.
