Experiência escolhida a dedo · Paris
A restaurant fifty-eight metres up is a logistics problem before it is a menu: everything arrives and leaves by lift, because there is no service road.
A table held inside the monument rather than in sight of it
Seasonal French cooking at a considerable height
Road and river covered either side of the meal
A host handling the transitions between the three parts
Ten narration tracks played on your own device
Five and a half hours combining a panoramic coach circuit of central Paris, a seasonal lunch in the restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, and a one-hour commented Seine cruise, with a host to keep the parts joined up.
A restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower is a logistics problem before it is a menu. Everything that arrives — produce, wine, linen, gas bottles, staff — comes up in a lift, and everything that leaves does the same. There is no service road, no loading bay and no lorry that can reverse up to the kitchen.
That single constraint shapes the whole operation. Deliveries are timed around the visitor lifts, storage is limited to what will fit, and a menu is planned around what can be got up there and got down again. The kitchen works to a footprint that a ground-level restaurant of the same standing would consider impossible.
The current restaurant opened in 2022 with a menu overseen by Thierry Marx, built around seasonal French produce. Knowing what it takes to serve it makes the plate more interesting, not less.
Most people treat the first floor as somewhere the lift passes through. It was redeveloped a decade ago and it now has a glass floor section: you stand on it and look straight down at the ground beneath the arches.
It also holds the original spiral staircase section and the exhibition spaces, so if lunch runs long there is a genuine reason to stay.
Read this carefully. Lunch is on the first floor, and lift access to the second and third floors is not part of the arrangement. If you want the higher levels, that is a separate ticket bought separately.
The operator is also honest that reserved restaurant access is still subject to the security screening at the base and to general crowding. Priority gets you to the restaurant lift; it does not empty the plaza.
Bring your own earphones — the commentary runs on your phone and none are handed out.
The first floor is enclosed where you eat but open where you walk, so take a layer for afterwards. Allow more time than seems necessary at the security queue.

Considerably — storage is only what fits, and deliveries are timed around the visitor lifts.
Thierry Marx oversees it, working from seasonal French produce.
In 2022, in the space on the first floor.
Yes — a glass floor section, part of the original spiral stair, and exhibition spaces.
No. Lift access to the second and third floors is separate and not part of this.
No. Screening at the base applies to everyone, and crowding can still affect timings.
No. Bring a wired pair — Bluetooth is unreliable in a plaza full of competing devices.
